Well, you can post in this forum to tell about your game, progress, etc. Reason I decided to create this: in case any more traffic comes and hasn't finished their projects yet.

Have updated first post with some info on some characters at the beginning. As a note, screen shots, when shown, will not reflect the appearances of the characters. These are what I have in mind for the characters, but as I can't draw, even sprites, I'm looking for someone to help. I haven't had any response and I'm hoping that after I release a demo to show off what I have in mind for the story/game, I can get an actual team.
Also, I might delete some of the posts here so I can upload more stuff under the original post to make it more organized, but if I'll do that, I'll make sure to keep the post count the same. This only applies to really SikAnTwisted.

Right now I'm attempting to possibly have the game in side-view instead of the default first-person view. I may not change it, as I'll need to find some battle sprites now, but that's what I want it to be whenever I get a crew. Though I would love for it to be like the Lunar series. I'll keep you up to date on how this goes. Hopefully I'll know for sure by later this week.
Oh, also, I will have to be re-editing some dialogues as I've changed the face graphics for some character. More fun to do.

Well I got the side view battle system on my game. I had to download their demo and start all over again using their game client. Because I don't understand scripts at all yet... Good thing I didn't get that far into it though.. www.rpgrevolution.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=18304&st=0&start=0I used "RPG Tankentai Sideview Battle System 3.3b" works fine, but you have to follow the little rules or everything will be screwed up >< EDIT: You can, however put it into your game without starting all over. Its just a lot harder and I didn't understand how so I had no choice. and now that im 10% in I want to finish it And the reason I haven't posted it here yet is because when you showed me the program I just went to town without thinking of a real plot.. so im plotting as I go, I wouldn't recommend doing this though >< makes it a lot harder and more time consuming.

I used to do that too. My stuff didn't get that far before realizing that it wouldn't work out. As I'm thinking this one through more, I think it's turning out a lot better.
Also, I just recently started using it. I copied my maps to theirs and everything seems to be in place. Just having problems with skills right now... maybe I can fix it in the future.

Too bad switch and variable names don't copy over by doing that.

I'm going through what I have of the game right now, changing some face and sprite graphics because I have gotten new ones. Still not the same look as the characters: though the hero's face graphic is closer but not the clothes. With this, I'm going through and correcting some dialogue problems I've had: missing words and such. I'm hoping I'll have the town of Riev completed soon. Also, updated the story on the first page.

Hey I wanted to ask something although the expositions features for V:DoM are highly above the norm for RPG maker games that I've seen, what are the gameplay elements, growth, fight system, tactical depth... I can help with that I would definately recommend the use of some KGC scripts notably: overdrive, steal, and conditional skills (unless you don't plan on using scripts and creating everything using events, which I used to do until recently but scripts were a big improvement)

Well, I am planning on using overdrive for all characters, I have the name script where the name appears above the text, a fullscreen (your choice if want) script, and other scripts that came with Kaduki's (spelling) version of the side-view battle system. I planned to use the steal script, but it'll be used for only for certain characters that would be considered bandits/thief and also those can get through locked doors, but that last part is easy and doesn't need scripts.
For tactical depth, that's not a grand idea I've actually thought about, at least that I'm thinking about. However, as I've wrote maybe not here, but one of choices is to get rid of the demon if you chose to get possessed. At the point of this choosing, there are other demons that come to play and you must make a choice. So this choice, though changing the story some, also is strategical choice. When you are human, though you are strong, you are much stronger with the demon as a part of you and you get certain powers that you don't get as a plain human: also depending on your affiliation. Also, I don't know if you would consider this: that helping someone, though they might be a badguy, may help you more in a sense of items, weapons, and armor. Though for actual battles, at this point, there's not much tactical for it, but that'll change more later.
Gameplay elements. Well, choices are obviously an element of the game that is known and those can either be heavy or small over time. Also, there will be a mix of save points and world saves depending on the area. Hostile areas, such as dungeons and forests, will have save points to give a feeling of an area being dangerous of safe. Also, I guess some would consider slightly dating sim if you chose to follow that route. And there's probably more, but I don't know if it belongs or have already stated it.
Finally, growth. I'm not quite sure what you mean by growth: character or something else. However, as only character hits me, I'll go on that. There will be grown in that for the main character and possibly party members, yet again, depending on your choice and affiliation. If you choose to follow the dark side (had to do that), the hero will have a darker personality as the game goes on. It may not be noticeable in the first few chapters, but as time goes on it'll be noticeable.
Hope that answers the questions.

Yeah that helps a lot and as for strategy and stuff what I like to do is give each character a particular skill area, ex: one guy specialty is accuracy rates and random damage another can steal items but also can use items in special attacks like consume 2 potions to make a special move furthermore some items can only be used by that chracter also I make each character good at fighting one enemy type (flying, fast, armoured)

Well, the main thing I'm trying to do is have each character have their own strengths and weakness: at least in attributes. You might have noticed that in the actual Vallen board in the party thread that one of the characters has a extremely high agility, but almost everything else was below average. The thing is, though, that as there isn't a set party needed, I'm trying to make the battles challenging, but trying to not make them require a party member. Sure, there might be an advantage to having a character, but it won't be required. Though that reminds me, if I have a boss battle, I need to make the attributes change depending on the party (if just have hero it'll be weaker than if have a companion).

Hmm there is an enemy level script which might help with that
